Multi-coil wireless power transfer (WPT) technique for boosting efficiency in large air gap systems

Abstract An energy-efficient high-powermulti-coil wireless power transfer system (WPT) has been studied in this paper. The proposed was first analyzed and examined using theoretical modeling; followed by finite element analysis circuit simulation to confirm the goal. As air gap between transmitter receiver coils widens, coupling coefficient of a WPT will drop. A large-air-gap system’s can be raised adding relay transmitting receiving coils. On other hand, an increased improves overall efficiency. suggested multi-coil system, which 15 cm lateral misalignment 3 coils, simulated verified Maxwell 3-D tool Ansys Simplorer software.
